I've been feeding my dogs home-made for 9 or 10 months now and they're thriving on it, but if you make home made, you've got to do it correctly because you're responsible for them getting all the nutrition they need. You can't just throw a few things together and call it good. I started because I got interested in a book I was reading in my vet's office - Dr. Pitcairn's Complete Guide to Natural Health for Dogs and Cats. It's got a lot of recipes in it, all the supplements and additives as well as what each of them is for.

I bought the book for myself and that's what I use. I think it's the way to go - and so do my dogs if you have the time to do it.
